FENG SHUI FOR YOUR BEDROOM

Always be mindful of the feel of your home and how its energy influences your well-being. Make a habit of paying close attention to the so-called feng shui “trinity” that is deeply connected to your health – your bedroom, your bathroom and your kitchen. Nothing is static in the world of energy, so be wise and keep your home healthy and happy.

1 Let go of the TV, computer or exercise equipment in your bedroom.

The good feng shui energy in your bedroom is destroyed when these items are present in your bedroom.

2 Open the windows of your bedroom often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen.

Be mindful of the quality of air in your bedroom. You can not have good feng shui in your bedroom if the air you breathe in is stale and full of pollutants. Please note that plants in the bedroom are not good feng shui, unless your bedroom is fairly large and the plants are located far from the bed.

3 Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, or use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy accordingly.

Appropriate lighting is very important, as light is our first nutrient and one of the strongest manifestation of energy. Candles are the best feng shui bedroom lighting, but be sure to buy candles with no toxins.

4 Use soothing colors to achieve a good feng shui balance in your bedroom.

Feng shui bedroom decor is a balanced decor that promotes the best flow of energy for restorative sleep, as well as sexual healing. Best feng shui colors for the bedroom are considered the so-called “skin colors”, and we know the colors of human skin vary from pale white to rich chocolate brown. Choose colors within this range that will work best for your bedroom decor.

5 Choose the images for your bedroom wisely, as images carry powerful feng shui energy.

Best feng shui advice for the bedroom art is to choose images that you want to see happening in your life. Unless you enjoy being sad and lonely, do not use sad and lonely images in your bedroom.

6 Follow the basic feng shui guidelines for your bed:

* Have your bed easily approachable from both sides.

* Have two bedside tables (one on each side).

* Avoid having the bed in a direct line with the door.

* A ‘good looking’ and well-balanced bed is very important in creating a perfect feng shui bedroom. Good mattress, a solid headboard and high quality sheets from natural fibers are also very important in creating harmonious feng shui energy.

7 Keep all the bedroom doors closed at night, be it the closet doors, the bathroom door or the bedroom door.

This will allow for the best and most nourishing flow of energy to strengthen your health, as well as the health of your relationship. Keeping your bedroom clean and organized will further create a sense of peace and calm in your bedroom.

The idea of a perfect feng shui bedroom may bring different images to different people, but they will all have one thing in common – Pleasure and Dreaming. In a good feng shui bedroom every item will reflect the clear intent for love, healing and relaxation.

TOP 3 FENG SHUI TIPS TO ATTRACT LOVE

1 Transform your bedroom into a place of nurturing sensuality and healing beauty, a place that has balanced energy for two people, not just one. Be sure you genuinely love the way your bedroom looks and feels – from the wall colour and window treatment to your bedding fabric and bedroom art.

* Be sure your bed has balanced energy on both sides, means it is easily approachable from either side.

* Two night stands on the both sides of your bed for a balanced energy.

* It is also highly recommended to have a good feng shui bed with a good, solid headboard. While you are drifting off to sleep, your body is going into a very complex and busy energy repair work on many levels. Subconsciously, your head needs good backing, protection and support, just like your back needs it when you are sitting in a chair for extended periods of time.

* Best feng shui headboards are the ones that are solid and made from wood, or the upholstered ones, as they have a very good combination of solid, but also gentle and supporting feng shui energy for you and your bedroom.

* Good mattress. There is a variety of mattresses on the market, choose wisely and invest in the one that will promote best sleep and relaxation. The better you sleep at night, the better your health during the day, this is really simple. Be mindful of the quality of feng shui energy and do not buy used mattresses – you never know what energy they have accumulated from previous owners.

* Good height. To allow for a balanced feng shui energy flow under the bed you need to have your bed at a reasonable height above the floor level. Generally, the beds that have built-in drawers underneath to help you with storage solutions are considered bad feng shui beds.

* Good supporting wall behind your bed.

* No sharp angles (from wall or furniture corners) pointing at you while you sleep.

* To create good feng shui in your bedroom, avoid art with violent, aggressive energy and images. As your bedroom is the main place for relaxation and sensual healing, any items with strong aggressive or violent energy will weaken or even completely negate the feng shui energy needed for healing.

* To nourish the good feng shui energy in your bedroom, it is best to limit the presence of the feng shui element of water. This means avoid big mirrors, a predominant blue color scheme in your bedroom, representation of a strong body of water or an actual water feature.

2 Transform your bathroom into a spa that has a healing and sensual energy that is also crisp and fresh. This is easier said than done, because we tend to ignore our bathrooms, while in feng shui they are considered important just because of all the potential negative energy that a neglected bathroom can create.

In terms of a successful love relationship, this is a space, feng shui-wise, that holds quite a bit of power because it is regularly used for cleansing, purification and pampering one’s energy. Be sure your bathroom is not only clean and organized, but also has a sense of beauty and spa-like pampering energy.

3 Use modern feng shui cures for love and be sure they work with your home decor and, most importantly, that you genuinely like them. Do not just place the famed feng shui Mandarin ducks in your love corner and expect a love relationship overnight! Go for modern feng shui cures such as beautiful art that depicts two lovers, a bowl of rose quartz crystals or rose quartz carvings, two big candle pillars in slightly different sizes etc.

While you can certainly have the feng shui love cures throughout your home; they are most powerful when placed in the feng shui love & marriage bagua area.

SOME PRODUCTS FOR BEST FENG SHUI IN YOUR GARDEN

Outdoor Fountains

Fountains – as the vital feng shui water element are number one feng shui garden product. You can go for any fountain design, material or shape that works best for your garden and your budget. Consider the feng shui elements interplay when choosing the best garden spot for the fountain. Combine it with a bird bath or a glazing ball, or go for a bigger water feature.

Wind Chimes

Feng shui wind chimes are loved by all. Wind chimes express the essence of feng shui wind and water. So it is wonderful to place them close to your garden water feature. Look for the chimes with the most harmonious sound, as well as look and design. Be sure your wind chime is made from quality materials and has the durability to do well in any weather. Do not place a big metal chime in the East of your garden.

3 Garden Lights

Go for solar garden lighting. You can find garden lights in all possible designs, from turtles to flowers just be sure you know what symbols are best in specific bagua areas of your garden. Beautiful garden lights will bring a gentle feng shui fire element into your garden. Be sure to surround your garden with lights; do not leave any garden areas without light.

4 Statues and Accents

Good feng shui in the garden means a dynamic harmony of sounds, colors, images and movements. Angels, faeries, children, birds, horses, etc. can be the choice of good feng shui garden statues. It is up to you to define which symbol will bring most joy into your garden.

5 Bird Feeders

In feng shui, birds are considered the good messengers from heaven, as well as the symbol of inspiration and freedom. A garden without the joyful songs of birds is not a complete feng shui garden. Birds bring great energy. Be sure your garden is welcoming and nourishing for these precious friends.

6 Stepping Stones

Step stones add a new dimension to the garden by emphasizing that life is a series of stepping stones. Create this feng shui flow of energy by choosing from a variety of stepping stone designs to let your garden enjoy this healing energy.

A Place To Rest

Having a place to rest in your garden is excellent feng shui. It helps you absorb silence and deeply nourishing energy. Depending on the size and design of your garden, you can go for seating made of different materials and styles, just be sure to take into consideration the five elements requirements for each bagua area of your garden.

Fire Pit or Fireplace

Feng shui fire element is often missing in many outdoor spaces, other than in summer months when bright and fiery colors bring this illuminating energy. If the size and design of your garden allows, having a fire pit is excellent feng shui. You have to be mindful of the feng shui elements interaction to place your fire pit in the best location. Fire is purifying, inspiring and empowering; it is a gift to be able to often sit around the open fire.

STAY HEALTHY WITH FENG SHUI

1 Good quality air is indeed the no. 1 feng shui health priority. Work with feng shui air-purifying plants, open the window often to create the space, use essential oils to clear the air, use air-purifiers, etc. Breathing clean air regularly is the feng shui foundation for your health and well-being.

2 Sufficient natural light is must. This also includes intelligent, smart indoor lighting. Once you focus on the quality of light, though, you will very quickly sense a shift in your health and well-being. Natural light is our no. 1 nutrient, be wise and give your body enough light nutrition. This also includes the smart use of feng shui colors, as color is light.

3 A clutter-free space. Be serious and realize that no amount of wind chimes, good feng shui colors or feng shui plants will negate the low, depressing energy of clutter. You just have to deal with your clutter, as clutter constantly drains energy from you.

Once you have these feng shui health priorities taken care of, you can start applying more specific feng shui cures, such as having lush green plants (Wood feng shui element) or a water feature (Water feng shui element) in the East area of your space.

If you cannot have plants or a water feature in your space, you can bring the energy of the needed feng shui elements with color (green or brown for Wood and blue or black for Water) or with feng shui art depicting either a body of water (river, ocean, lake, etc) or lush greenery.

FENG SHUI TIPS FOR YOUR KITCHEN

The kitchen is a great metaphor for how we nurture ourselves. The process of cooking, even if done infrequently, needs to become an active meditation ritual and “eating” should be a spiritual experience, which brings in the powerful life force that fuels every aspect of our being. Change the way you look at cooking and food, and you will change the way you feed yourself emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Allow cooking and food to become an act of nurturing and you will begin to see your abundance and prosperity grow.

Although, from a Feng Shui perspective, the energy of wealth can be generated from many other areas in your home, the kitchen is probably one of the most significant areas since it is a “fire energy” room. The stove is the main appliance that generates a flow of abundance because the fire energy enters the kitchen space through the burners, bringing with it the chi that draws in prosperity.

Cook’s station at the stove should face the doorway.

A cooking position that doesn’t face the kitchen doorway can cause stress, anxiety, and exaggerate financial challenges. But if you’re one of the many people whose back is to the door and you can’t change your stove’s position, there are some Feng Shui cures for this problem. One is to place a mirror on the back wall of the stove, making sure that when hung, it doesn’t “cut off” anyone’s head. Another possibility is to attach a 3- or 5-inch convex mirror to the microwave door or overhead vent above the stove. This adjustment will allow you to look up into the mirror and see the kitchen door behind you. In addition, hang a metal wind chime over the “cook’s station” to offset any negative energy that may be coming in from behind you.

Create a kitchen that is warm and welcoming.

Try personalizing it. Display fun items, add color, buy new potholders or dishtowels, and then toss in a few special touches, like artwork or antique tiles and cookware that make you happy. This will make food preparation a pleasure and add positive energy to the cooking process.

3 Keep the stove in good working order.

Your stove oversees your finances and brings in the prosperity energy or “chi.” Try to circulate your tea kettles, pots and pans using all the burners rather than one particular burner. Keep the stove and oven clear and clean! Make sure all burners and knobs are in good working order. When the fire is flowing freely through all the burners, this means that the fire energy governing finances is working in your favor.

Double your burners and enhance your prosperity.

Add a convex mirror to the area around the stove (or on hood above the burners) and make sure the burners are clearly reflected in it. The burners bring in the wealth chi. Turn your four burners into eight and double your wealth energy! To strengthen this energy even more, hang a metal wind chime over the area where the cook stands in front of the stove.

Fix all leaks.

Water energy also affects your money flow, as well as your emotional reactions to all life situations. Leaky faucets and refrigerators that run both create money “leaks.”

Clear all clutter.

Like the bedroom, the kitchen is another room that tends to collect a lot of junk and clutter. Countertops, undersink cabinets, and junk drawers become jammed with empty containers, old mail, takeout menus, and other stuff. All these things contribute to financial jams and cash flow problems. Throw things out or give extra items away. Divest with gratitude and create the room for the abundance to enter.

Create the illusion of space.

If your kitchen is not spacious, raise the wattage of the already existing lighting, then add additional lighting under wall cabinets. When possible add a mirror to a section of the walls to expand the space. Make the kitchen tools (bowls, pots, dishes) very accessible. Make sure the cabinets properly open and close. This creates a stress-free flow for cooking.

Avoid kitchens located in the center of the house.

Review your overall floor plan and try to assess if your kitchen falls into the general center of your floor plan. If this situation occurs in your home’s layout, it can be a contributing factor to digestion, stomach, intestinal problems, money losses and overall anxiety. To offset this potential problem, hang a brass wind chime (or a 50-mm Feng Shui crystal on a 9-inch red string) from the center of the kitchen ceiling. In addition, add a mirror or mirrored tiles to at least one or two of the kitchen walls.

Cook at least one or two meals a week for yourself.

Treat yourself and your family as you would honored guests. Prepare a great dinner and give a lot of attention to the little details. Shut off the TV, light some beautiful candles, use your best china, and put on some relaxing music. Enjoy the whole experience. You are worth it, and soon you will be reaping the benefits that such a loving act brings.

10 Thoroughly clean your kitchen and let go of any unhealthy foods.

11 Bring fresh herbs like basil, rosemary or mint (Wood feng shui element), ideally in clay pots (Earth feng shui element) and find a good place for them in your kitchen.

12 Always have fresh water in site.

A good idea is to place a row of spring water bottles (Water feng shui element) that you replenish as necessary.

13 Have 9 oranges (Fire feng shui element) in a round metal bowl (Metal feng shui element) Replenish them, as needed.

14 Be sure to decorate your kitchen often as needed and let natural light in.

15 Having a good feng shui energy flow in the kitchen is like having a strong support system in all your health-related initiatives.

16 Train yourself to always put keys and mail in your designated container.

17 keep objects off the counters that you do not use on a daily basis such as toasters, blenders, mixers and Cuisinarts. Store them in your cupboards and replace with a few lovely vases and/or objects that inspire you.

18 Store knives in knife blocks and remove hooks overhead if you have installed them to hold pans. Store them in your cupboards.

19 If you have black granite, it is always good to have lighter more earthy colors for the cabinets. You can also bring in pottery, mats, dishware, and/or other decorative pieces in yellows, golds and earth tones.

20 If you have black granite, it is always good to have lighter more earthy colors for the cabinets. You can also bring in pottery, mats, dishware, and/or other decorative pieces in yellows, golds and earth tones. White, yellow, blue, green, beige, red and orange are all important feng shui kitchen paint colors. Creamy neutral shades such as beige, oatmeal, khaki and other earth colors also work well in the kitchen. Light golden yellow is another popular feng shui kitchen color. Believed to promote socialization, it can create an uplifting and cheerful space for you and your family to enjoy meals. Green is another popular kitchen color and according to feng shui, it promotes digestion. Choose soft and earthy greens to help create a relaxing space. To enhance these earthy tones, put a living plant or two in your kitchen as well.

21 The ideal position for the kitchen is on either the Southern or the Eastern side of a house. Kitchen to the Northeast and Southwest also do not seem to cause any good or bad to the fire and therefore this direction is a neutral one. Kitchen to the Southeast is also a good direction for Feng Shui Kitchen as both directions represents wood element which can be a good source of energy when you want to start fire. Kitchen on the North is also of balance position. It is better to keep the kitchen separate from the Dining Room.

22 Also make sure that the Kitchen should not be below a toilet or adjacent to it. Fire and water fight each other so the placement of the stove and sink should be in such a manner that they are not next to each other or directly opposite each other. Also make sure to fix the leaks as this can drain your money away. The Feng Shui fix for a wrong placement is putting a small plant or pot of herbs or something green in between these elements.

FENG SHUI TIPS FOR DINING ROOM

1 Choosing and positioning the table.

Your dining table should be large but fit comfortably in the room. Oval or round shapes are best, but if your table is rectangular, you can balance it with rounded shapes such as rugs in the rest of the room. It’s best to place the table at the centre of the dining room and turn it at a slight angle in relation to the walls, so the chi will flow in a gentle, curving path around the room. If you put the table straight and parallel with the walls, the chi will be channelled in a straight line through the room or around the edges, and may get trapped in the corners.

Seating arrangements.

In feng shui, it’s good practice to seat the oldest family member or an important guest in the “honoured guest” position at the table. This is the seat furthest from the door, with solid walls behind it and offering a good view of the door and windows. If possible, place all the seats so that no one has his or her back to a door or large window, because this “weak” position may leave that person feeling insecure. This problem is especially likely with round tables.

Setting your table.

In general, plain colours and simple shapes are best to promote the calming energy you need around the table. If you prefer a pattern, opt for one based on just one or two main colours. Vertical stripes are ideal because they symbolize uplifting energy. However, busy patterns splinter the chi. To get the most benefit from your tableware, keep items in good condition and discard any chipped plates, bowls or glasses.

Table displays.

A rounded bowl filled with rounded fruit, in the centre of the table, is excellent feng shui; the more food you show, the more “richness of life” you possess. Many fruits have special significance: you could choose apples to boost friendship, pears for energy, peaches for health and oranges for richness. You can include other favourite fruits as well. Flowers are also a lovely decoration. Yellow ones are ideal to enhance communication. Silk, paper or plastic flowers are also fine. However, don’t use dried flowers because they represent decay and stagnation.

Lucky energy.

The table and the area around it need to be “loaded with luck”. To nurture goodness in the chi, have a few large, soft-leaved plants near the table. Pictures that give you feelings of pleasure and abundance will also help; good subjects include bright flowers, rounded fruit and sunny landscapes.

Keep electrical items, including TVs and stereos, out of the dining room; their energy is too yang. In addition, remove any clocks, because they are unwelcome reminders of the passing of time. A dining room should be “eternal”.

Calming colours.

The chi in a dining room needs to be more yin than yang, to help create a pleasant, relaxing feel. To stimulate yin chi, base the decor on pastel or neutral colours. For large areas such as walls, single colours are best. You can always use ornaments and pictures, or a display area with items to add splashes of brighter colours. Try to avoid having highly patterned wallpaper, which can splinter the chi. If you already have this problem, remedy it by putting up abstract pictures in strong, plain colours.

Lighting and mirrors.

Lighting needs to be soft and calming. Wall-mounted lights equipped with dimmer switches are a good idea, because you can alter the lighting levels to suit your mood or a special occasion. A mirror will also soften the light. Choose one with a suitable frame. A large mirror reflecting the dining table and showing food such as a bowl of fruit will double “life wealth”. However, a mirror should never reflect a kitchen or bathroom or it will double bad energy from these areas.

The water of life.

Clean, flowing water symbolizes luck, energy, health and “richness of life”. A small water feature or aquarium will benefit most locations. Alternatively, you could have one or two water symbols, such as shells, or a picture of flowing water. However, don’t use water items in the Northeast, South or Southwest.

Goldfish signify luck, and are ideal for an aquarium. Three or nine are the most beneficial numbers; include one black fish to represent protection. If you like tropical fish, have golden platys and a black mollie.

FENG SHUI TIPS FOR DINING TABLE

1 The dining table should ideally be made of marble or wood and never a glass top as it represents your career. Glass breaks easily hence your career might break, be careful.

2 The dining table should also not be placed with one side of the table next to the wall just to save space as this can give work pressure.

3 The bigger the dining table, the better hence an 8 seater dining table is best compared to a 6 seater though most homes have a 6 seater which is fine.

4 In any house, there must be a dining table as it represents your career.

5 The dining table has to be fixed and cannot use those extendable type.

6 What is directly opposite the dining table has an impact on your career so most houses that are fengshuied would have an oil painting of a yellow harvesting padi field with a farmer and an Ox.(only those who are born in the goat year should not have an ox in the painting)

7 If you wish for overseas posting or plently of travel then place an oil painting with 101 birds.

8 Usually above the dining table there is a lovely chandelier (crystals that look full) above to give it Grandness so that the career is good and grand.

9 What is placed on the dining table is also important hence do not place medicine on it, bread, fruits are ok.

10 There should be no mirror directly opposite your dining table if not your career would not last.

STRONG FRONT DOOR, OR MAIN DOOR IN FENG SHUI

1 An unobstructed, open flow of energy to the front door. This means there are no recycling bins, cracked old pots with dead plants or any other items blocking the flow of feng shui energy to your front door.

2 A front door that is well-cared for. A front door that opens widely without squeaking, a front door that has good looking door hardware and paint. No odd looking, unused nails around the door frame, no rusty doorknobs etc.

3 A front door that is in harmony with the feng shui element of its direction. The direction of the front door is very important in feng shui, so in order to harness the best energy it is advisable to choose a feng shui color that is in harmony with the feng shui element of its direction.

4 A strong feng shui front door opens up to a smooth flow of energy in the main entry. The efforts of attracting the best feng shui energy to your house will be wasted if your main entry does not have good feng shui. You need to channel the good feng shui energy throughout your house, and it all starts in your main entry.

5 A front door is that has a good relationship with the house structure. A strong feng shui front door is a door that has good proportions in comparison to the house as a whole. This simple point is often forgotten during home renovations, so you can often see two or three story houses with tiny front doors that might have been enough when the house was initially just a small.

SOME FENG SHUI DECOR TIPS FOR YOUR MONEY AREA

1 Healthy, lush green plants, such as:

* A money plant

* A feng shui lucky bamboo

* An air purifying plant

2 A water feature, a mirror or an image of water. You can bring an actual fountain to the area. Mirrors are excellent feng shui money cure. You can also display images with water such as a beautiful waterfall, a lake, a river or an ocean. Make sure the water is clean and flowing.

3 Emphasize specific shapes in your money area decor. Each feng shui element is expressed in specific shapes, so you can bring the desired energy with shapes such as:

* Rectangular (Wood element)

* Square (Earth element)

* Wavy (Water element)

Be it in the shape of picture frames, fabric patterns or the wallpaper design, these shapes will bring the right energy to your money area.

4 Images of forests, parks or vibrant green leaves, trees, grass, etc. will bring the feng shui energy of the Wood element. You can also bring images of natural landscapes with interesting land formations from sandy beaches to mountains (to represent the Earth element).

5 Choose best feng shui colours to decorate your money area (be it with wall colour, fabrics or decor details.) You have a variety of colour choices, such as:

* Green

* Brown

* Blue

* Black

* Earthy/Light Yellow

You can also bring a splash of red to activate the area (or its energy variations such as coral orange, magenta, purple or pink). Be sure, though, that this is just a colour splash, and not the main colour decor for your feng shui money area.

6 Decorate with images that represent the energy of wealth and abundance. You can choose from any modern (and personal) representation of wealth, such as, for example, people enjoying a vacation on a luxurious yacht or a colourful and abundantly rich table set for a big party, etc. May be images of actual gold nuggets will speak to you more, or a big waterfront house. Find what really sparks that wealth energy in you, because this is different for everyone.

7 Consider some classical Chinese feng shui cures for wealth, just be sure that you genuinely like them and they work with your home decor. Here is a list of the most popular traditional feng shui cures for wealth:

* A feng shui aquarium (or representation of specific fish)

* Chinese coins

* A wealth vase

* An abundance ship

* The Laughing Buddha

* Citrine or Pyrite crystals

8 Always keep the energy fresh and vibrant by using pleasant scents and aromas, fresh flowers and a few candles. Having the area well lit and playing music there from time to time are excellent activators of good energy. Of course, it goes without saying that your money area has to be clean and clutter free.

FENG SHUI USE OF CRYSTALS

1 Two rose quartz hearts are often placed in the Southwest feng shui area of the home to promote happy energy in a love relationship. Often a full bowl of rose quartz crystals is placed in the bedroom as a feng shui love cure.

2 If your child has trouble focusing/concentrating and tends to get overexcited, several pieces of hematite will help grounding and center his or her energy. You can place them either in your child’s room, or in the West (Children & Creativity) feng shui area of your home. Tumbled hematite, is also often used in feng shui for grounding and centering energy, as well as for protection.

3 A good feng shui use of black tourmaline, obsidian, and hematite is by the front door to benefit from their protective qualities. You can place several tumbled hematites or black tourmaline stones either outside or inside your front door in a visually pleasing way. For example, if you have big pots with plants on both sides of the main door, you can place the stones on top of the soil or at the base of your plant pot.

4 Blue kyanite and citrine are the two crystals that never need cleansing as they do not absorb negative energy. You can use blue kyanite for protection and relaxation/stress relief, while citrine is one of the classical feng shui cures to attract wealth. You can strengthen the healing energy of blue kyanite by using it in jewellery or in decor displays with a clear quartz crystal. The abundant energy of citrine can be strengthened/multiplied by using it with rich fiery/earth stones such as carnelian, red agate, jasper and tiger’s eye.

5 It is best to cleanse the crystals when you first buy or receive them as a gift. Crystal cleansing resets their vibration to be receptive to the new home and the new owner. Crystals should be cleansed regularly, as well as treated in a respectful and loving manner. You can cleanse crystals in many ways, from submerging them in pure water (with or without salt) to smudging them during your space clearing sessions. Be sure to place your crystals in good energy areas, such as your dining, living room or main entry table and in your bookshelves.

FENG SHUI MIRROR TIPS

1 Typical mirrors defined by shape (oval, round, square) and frame materials (wood, metal, etc.) For example, a round mirror in a gold leaf frame can be a beautiful feng shui wealth and abundance cure and work very well in the feng shui money area of your home or office.

2 The concave mirrors are mostly used outside; the mirrors produce an upside-down, condensed reflection.

3 The convex mirrors have protective qualities, serving as a watchful eye. Mostly used outside in feng shui, although can be used inside, too, especially if nicely framed.

FACE FENG SHUI

Ideally, eyebrows should be sufficiently long enough to cover and therefore protect the eyes. They should begin at the inner corner, curve gently upwards and end at a correct length so as to be balanced. They should be thicker at the beginning and gradually thinner towards the end.

1 When they are well shaped, they indicate a balance between logic and emotions.

2 Thick bushy eyebrows show that a person has vitality, strength and a passionate nature. It also indicates that the person will have a good passage through the ages of 30 to 33 as these are the ages indicated by the eyebrows.

3 Eyebrows that are faint, patchy or scattered indicates a difficulty in these ages. Further analysis can reveal what the problems can be but in general they indicate problems in health, failure and losses or emotional instability. The strength of the eyes and other facial features will tell how this person will cope with his or her problems.

With make-up, a woman can create a more harmonious balance and strengthen her eyebrows and improve her facial luck.

Skin quality affects wealth.

Your skin should have a healthy glow and a moist and fleshy appearance. If it’s dry and flaky, you’ll tend toward bad financial luck. If the face is too oily, there is a tendency to lose money. Facial skin should look fresh and glowing, moist and with a hint of red color.

Outward appearance attracts wealth.

You needn’t be a super-model to attract greater prosperity. Merely by holding your face with a pleasant and alert look, the response from others is more positive and it attracts good luck to you. Dour-looking people attract dour situations and circumstances, including financial problems. So change your luck just by planting a smile on your face.

Moles have meaning.

There are many hidden meanings to moles in the Chinese view. Typically facial moles are not considered good luck, especially if they are dark or black-colored. Red moles are thought to bring good fortune, however.

Moles on the forehead bring power and authority and those on the mouth bring prosperity and speaking skill. Moles on the center line of the face, nose, or cheeks bring lost opportunity and negative circumstances.

Facial flaws draw problems.

No one is endowed with a perfect face, but when your face has flaws, such as extremely dark circles under the eyes (which can cause problems with children) and make you look tired, it can affect people’s perceptions of you.

Pimples foretell expenses.

Pimples are thought to be indicators of expenses, however, rather than embarrassment.

When a pimple arises on the nose, it will cause a big expense within two weeks. If the pimple is on the side of the nose, then the expense is unexpected. If it’s on the top, then this is a good expense such as a new car or furniture. Pimples on the forehead will give you car and travel problems.

A nose for wealth.

Many Chinese follow the nose for indicating your potential for wealth luck. A large nose often indicates wealth. Large nostrils that can be seen when looking straight on indicate loss of wealth. Skinny, pinched noses often mean loss of wealth.
